whats going on…

Havn’t posted for a while, so I figured I’d write a bit.  I’m always working on 4-5 blog posts about issues that I’m thinking a lot about at the time, but once I really get working on them, I’m focused on something else…no good.  So things have been really great with forageSF these days.  I was down at the maker faire last weekend, which was both bizarre and cool.  It was the first year that food people were there, and it was interesting to see the seperation of the us and the tecchies.  We were literally fenced in.  I really liked the steam powered motorcycle, gotta get me one of those.  It was nice to meet some people face to face that had heard about forageSF, and had questions. Some of the time it seems like all I do is email, and talk to other food people about what I’m doing, so it was cool to chat with people who had a fresh perspective on the whole thing.  The forager/landowner organizing is really taking off, so the foraged food economy that I’m trying to create just might make it after all.  I’m going up to forestville to meet with a woman named Azza (cool name I know), a self described “older hippy”.  She seems really interesting, and knows a lot of people up there with land, so hopefully that works out. On friday I’m taking out an author that wants to include a foraging chapter in her food adventure memoirs. Seems like an interesting book, so happy to be a part of that.  I’m also going to talk to her about my proposal letter for my foraging/cooking/photos book (and if any of you are publishers and want to help me proof it, let me know).  That’s it for now.

One Response to “whats going on…”

  1. hi. i worked on getting a book published and marketed last year & we had great success. If u r looking to find someone to help make your book a success please email me. I’d be interested to learn more about your book’s concept and where you are at in the process.

Thank you, and everyone, for this community and information about locally grown foods.
